FC Storm Academy
For Passers Players Ready to Take the Next Step in Development
Focus on Player Development
FC Storm Academy is a development program for boys and girls specifically designed for the U8 and U7 player who is looking for more training than the LYSA Rec Program can provide. Academy focuses on basic ball skills; dribbling, moves to beat a defender, first touch and passing. Training follows the FC Storm Curriculum adapted to the U7 and U8 player to prepare for select soccer.
Focus on Fun
Academy is conducted in a fun, positive learning environment that encourages players to try without fear of failure
Academy Description
Academy teams are formed in the fall and spring. They are separate seasons and players have to register for each season separately. Unlike Select Soccer, players only commit to one season at a time.
Tryouts are not required to participate in the FC Storm Academy. The program and training are designed for players (families) who are serious about working on skill development and are mentally and physically ready for more advanced training.
Academy players come from Loveland and surrounding communities. Players are grouped by gender. The U7 players participate in friendly games with other select clubs. The U8 players participate in a more formal league. Scores and standings are not not tracked for either age group. Teams play matches against Cincinnati United, Cincinnati Elite, Lakota FC, Cincinnati Soccer Club, Impact, STAR, FOSC and others.
FC Storm Academy staff is made up of professional trainers and experienced, licensed coaches who are selected because they love teaching soccer to young players. They bring enthusiasm and passion that creates a wonderful environment for players to learn skills without fear of making mistakes.
Fees
The seasonal fee is $250. It includes the cost of trainers, games, referees and field expenses. Players are required to purchase a uniform which costs about $70. If players play for multiple seasons, the uniform only needs to be purchased once.
